Baby Girl!!

As the girls in my office heard me gasp and say, "Oh my God", they could tell by the look on my face that the much awaited referral had arrived. I held my breath and couldn't think. "Oh my God, this is our first look at our daughter, it's finally time to see her" I didn't know what to do, I couldn't think straight, I could barely breath. Lucky for me Christy and Jamie could think rationally and reminded me of what I needed to do next....."CALL BILL!!!!" Oh yeah, of course call Bill, why didn't I think of that. But what's his number I can't remember.... Lucky for me Christy and Jamie know it in case of emergency.
I am trying to remain calm as I talk to Bill to see where he is and if he can meet me home. I tell him that, "She's here! Our referral is here!" I am trying not to cry because I won't be able to talk and I still have to drive home, but tears well up in my eyes and that of my friends as well. This is truly a moment to remember. I insist on not taking a peek at her picture until Bill and I are together. So both of us race home to finally see Olivia Grace. The moment we have waited so long for.
