Beach pictures

We had an awesome time at the beach this past weekend!!! Olivia had a blast and was the best little girl ever!! We are so proud of her!!!

We rented a really nice beach house on Topsail (pronounced Top-sul) Island, NC with my entire family, 15 all together. Olivia enjoyed her first trip to beach very much. When we got there on Friday the weather was not very good. It was cloudy and rained pretty hard on and off. We took the opportunity to check out all the shops and then go out to dinner. At dusk we went down to the beach so that my nephew could go crabbing. Olivia was a little nervous at first but then she enjoyed getting down and picking shells. She loved seeing the crabs that Josh caught. She pretty much loved anything that Josh did. She would not stop calling his name. If she didn't want to do something I would just tell her that Josh does it and she would immediately cooperate. I will see how much mileage I can get out of this one. It even worked at school. Anyway we had a great time. I don't have a lot of pictures because I pretty much stink at taking photos and I never have the camera at the right time. Enjoy.

Olivia having a bagel for breakfast.

She loves cream cheese so she eats it from the cream cheese side out. She had cream cheese coming out her nose all day.

This is her first look at the ocean. It was dark but if you enlarge the picture you can see the ocean behind us.

I was showing her the shells on the beach and she actually picked out 6 shells herself.

Here she is looking at the crab that Josh caught.

Her first time playing in the sand.
She loved it.

My brother, Josh, Madison and Morgan throwing the cast net to catch some fish.

My sister covered in sand after the waves took her out.

I was ready to head back to the house when Bill brought Olivia back to the beach after her nap. The girls wanted her to play with them and she wouldn't let me leave. I was in a good spot to play in the sand with them but the incoming tide got a little crazy and a huge wave came in really far and drenched us. The water was a little rough because of the storm off the coast.
Josh and the girls playing in the sand.
I have no idea what she was looking for.
Is she talking with her hands while on the phone?
She thinks she is so funny. Could it be because everyone was watching her and laughing.

Olivia copied everything the girls did. They lay on the floor and she lay on the floor. Whatever face or motion they made she did the same.

She tried to keep a straight face but couldn't.

She was exhausted and fell asleep in the car reading her book.

How cute!! I discovered your page through Edna Gladney quite some time ago..and caught the tail end of your journey in bringing Olivia home. She is soooooo adorable!! And looks as though she has bonded well with both you and your husband. I enjoy looking at the pictures and seeing how happy Miss Olivia is. Again, thanks for sharing.

Thank you Shannon for the great idea of filming the DVD while it plays!! This will have to do until I get the proper program. The quality is not very good doing it this way but it's better than nothing.
