Christmas Eve!

Christmas was absolutely wonderful!! We are so blessed to have Olivia with us for her first Christmas! It was magical and exciting, and no doubt the best Christmas ever!! I have lots of pictures so let's get started. Here is Christmas eve!

Christmas Day is at my house so early on Christmas Eve I make the lasagna for Christmas day. This year I made three pans of 15 layer lasagna and 135 meatballs. My assistant was great company but not much help. She wasn't too impressed with my lasagna making skills and was more interested in watching the dogs on the deck outside the window, watching the TV and eating puffs. Oh well maybe in a couple of years she will want to help.

Christmas Eve is always at my sister's house. She is going to hate me for posting a picture of her garage. It looks messy but it is pretty organized. All the guys were outside frying shrimp and scallops for dinner. Our Italian tradition is to have all kinds of fish on Christmas Eve. Fried shrimp, fried scallops, grilled shrimp, grilled scallops, shrimp scampi, New England clam chowder, Manhattan clam chowder, Fettuccine Alfredo, linguine with red clam sauce, greens Morielle, and I can't remember everything else.

My nephew Matt bringing in the fried shrimp.

Frying the scallops.

Oven's ready for the shrimp scampi.
Opening a present from Aunt Paige's Mom while Uncle Brian and Morgan look on.

Madison, Olivia and Morgan under my sister's tree.

Did you know the butter and cream from Fettuccine Alfredo is great for the skin.

My silly happy face when my belly is full.

These cookies are a little crumbly and it's not because I crumbled them in my hands.

My niece took this picture her finger was blocking the flash but I love the picture anyway. I had to hold her hands so she would leave it on long enough for the picture to be taken.
Every Christmas Eve my sister (right) reads Twas the Night Before Christmas to all the children in the family. She started the tradition when her boys were little and as each new child arrives she reads the story to them. Well her boys of course are too old for that so she usually reads to my nieces and nephew. This year Olivia got to listen to the story. She was more interested in watching my sister than looking at the book but she sat through the entire story.
Next post Christmas Day!!

Sharon,
I love the pictures. Especially the silly face. I am so happy Olivia was home for Christmas. Pretty soon we will be having Birthday parties! We need to get together soon once the holiday's die down. All three of us can meet in Knightdale with our girls.

Thank you Shannon for the great idea of filming the DVD while it plays!! This will have to do until I get the proper program. The quality is not very good doing it this way but it's better than nothing.
