Waiting! Waiting! and more Waiting!
Well, there is not much to report right now. We are waiting for an update from our coordinator who is waiting for an update from the attorney in Guatemala. WAITING, WAITING, and more WAITING! WAITING has been the story of our lives since we started the adoption process in October. In the beginning we WAITED for the first approval, the second approval, the home study appointment, the homestudy report, the certified copies of our birth and marriage certificates, our passports, our doctor appointments, our lab results, our medical reports, the fingerprint appointment with CIS department of Homeland Security. We WAITED for the endless Fed Ex packages to be returned to us with our authenticated paperwork so we could complete our dossier. We WAITED for our approval from CIS saying that we could bring a foreign born infant into the US. We WAITED for our referral. We are WAITING for our DNA results, and updates on where we are in the process now that our dossier and power of attorney have been sent to Guatemala. We are WAITING for more pictures and updates on Olivia, but most of all we WAIT for the day we are told that we can travel to Guatemala and pick up our daughter and bring her home! The waiting that is endured during an adoption is pure torture and a true test of ones patience and tolerance, both of which are tested daily. The more time that passes the harder the waiting gets. We pray that our case progresses quickly and smoothly.

Olivia Talking
Thank you Shannon for the great idea of filming the DVD while it plays!! This will have to do until I get the proper program. The quality is not very good doing it this way but it's better than nothing.
