The First Step

Our quest to find the perfect adoption agency began immediately when we decided that we would adopt. I gathered information packets from many many agencies both local and out of state. I talked to many families who already adopted to find out what agency they used and based on the information we received in the mail, as well as from parents who have already adopted and from attending information sessions, we were able to gather enough information to feel confident that we were choosing the best agency. Once the decision was made we did a preliminary application and waited to hear if we qualified for the next application.....there are many. We heard back immediately that we could move on to the complete application which would be reviewed and hopefully approved and accepted by the agency.
