Camera testing

I tested my friends Canon Rebel out.  I am definitely ready to buy a digital SLR camera.  I love it.  Easy to use and the color and clarity is awesome, not to mention they are fast.  Now I have to find a good deal and decide whether I want the Canon Rebel or the Nikon.  Any advice from current users is welcome.!!!  Click pictures to enlarge

Getting there.

Rose bush in front of new house.  I love how this picture came.

Her school leaves crackers in a basket for the kids when they are leaving.  I hate them.  Nice thought but they are very messy, especially if she tries to open them herself.  Crumbs are everywhere.

I am a Nikon girl myself (Dx40). Canon people love their Canons though too. I think it is just what you are used to!

I was raised a Canon girl, I got a Rebel for my 16th birthday and have a little point and shoot Canon.

I'm not going to lie, Nikon is the *better* camera but it's kind of like the Lamborghini of digital SLR's and the Canon is like the Ford. Canon's will run great, take great pictures, are easy to use and figure out and won't bankrupt you. Nikon's take amazing shots, are a bit advanced as far as controls and cost quite a bit more.

I would start off with the Canon as your first digital SLR and then if that progresses, get yourself the nice Nikon later. Who knows, though. You might turn into a Canon girl like me. The highest end Cannon, the EOS, is actually an amazing camera that I would commit many crimes to get my hands on.

Hola Miss Carrie!

Tom has a Nikon and has always had Nikon. Feel free to pick his brain...

Your house looks great - I love the brickwork.

I can't believe you don't like your back seat full of cracker crumbs....come on! :)

Thank you Shannon for the great idea of filming the DVD while it plays!! This will have to do until I get the proper program. The quality is not very good doing it this way but it's better than nothing.
