Cuteness, Hair Cut, Dress yourself

I think I am done with my blog. There might be a few adjustments to the sidebar but for the most part I am done. Things are crazy around here again. Bill's infection in his leg is back with a vengeance. He is in a lot of pain and unable to walk. He has been on 3 antibiotics and still no relief. I am going to get him in with an infectious disease doc on Monday one way or another.
Olivia is doing well, she is enjoying her new room and her new teacher. She is part Guatemalan. Her Mom is from Guatemala and she has a summer home there that she goes to every year. She loves Olivia and speaks to her in Spanish. Olivia of course has made her the new favorite teacher to replace Ms. Carrie. Here are some random pictures from the last several days. Enjoy!

Olivia loves Harvey, my sister's Labradoodle

Olivia got her haircut on Saturday. She cried a little but overall she did very well, no smiles until she got to pick from the treasure chest at the end. Puppy and Bear had to come along and get their hair cut too. That's what I did to distract her while Emmy cut her hair.

Getting ready to be blow dried and still not happy.

Olivia loves to play with play dough.

Friday was "Dress yourself day" at school. Olivia picked out her own clothes and hair accessory. She did pretty good I must admit. Nothing too wild and it matched pretty good. It was hard to give up the control and let her pick anything she wanted. She had fun though and at school they said she kept looking in the mirror and smiling. She was very proud of herself for picking out her clothes.
Playing with her cousins, Morgan and Madison. She completely enjoyed all the attention she was getting. She was eating dinner and Morgan wanted to feed her, even though she feeds herself. Then Madison also wanted to feed her and asked, "when is it going to be my turn to feed Olivia". Before I could answer Olivia took the fork from Morgan and handed it to Madison as if to say here, quit your whining, you can feed me. It was so funny, we all started cracking up. Olivia doesn't miss a trick and understands everything that is said.

Tell Bill I will be praying for him.
Olivia did great picking out her clothes. I am really impressed. Like you, I would have trouble giving in to my child on that issue.

Thank you Shannon for the great idea of filming the DVD while it plays!! This will have to do until I get the proper program. The quality is not very good doing it this way but it's better than nothing.
