Are They Twins!

Andrea and I and our girls went to dinner together on Saturday..........................it was some dinner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We unintentionally drew a lot of attention to ourselves!!!!!!!!!!!!! We laughed like crazy..............and I am laughing as I write this just thinking about the events of the evening............:-))))))))

It started out very nicely with the hostess oohing and ahhing over our girls...........................one by one every person that passed our table stopped to ooh and ahh over our girls.........................then all the fun started!!!!

Olivia was fidgety before our food arrived and wanted me to pick her up...................... I was trying to contain her and keep her from touching the people behind us and the stuff on the table when Madi started choking on her tortilla chip. Of course it took Andrea and I a few seconds to decide whether she was really choking or not...............................she was coughing so that was good.........................then she started really choking and Andrea hit her on the back a few times and Madi gagged and started throwing up.................................Andrea did what every good mother does and catches it in her hands..................................I am no help whatsoever because I am trying to hold on to Olivia and am blocked in by the highchair and the close table behind us.

Madi is now fine and Andrea has her hands full...................literally..............I manage to throw Andrea some napkins just as the waiter arrives to refill our drinks. He asks me to hand him our glasses so he can fill them.............Andrea asks him for a rag..........................I pick up my glass which is 3/4 full and put it at the end of the table so the waiter can reach it but I am still intently watching Madi to make sure she is okay and I don't pay attention to where I put the glass.............................as my pants became wet I realized that I put the glass right in front of Olivia..........................and she has knocked it over. Not only do we need a rag, we now need a mop.........................................and I need to change my clothes because I am wet from my waist to my ankle.............................come to find out he wanted Adrea's glass which was almost empty not mine which was almost full.........................................so what do we do now......................................... L A U G H ..........................H Y S T E R I C A L L Y!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The people around us laugh at us as well............................we get everything cleaned up just in time for our food to be served. The waiter leaves us an almost 4 inch stack of napkins...........(more laughter)................Olivia goes back in her highchair......................she is wet too............and I try to ignore the fact that I am soaked. We eat........................we laugh................we laugh some more and shake our heads in disbelief of the events that have happened!!!!!

About 10 minutes after we are served the hostess is seating a family at the table behind Andrea and as she passes our table we hear her say into her microphone "We have a big spill at table ? we'll need a mop" ...............Of course overhearing this sends us into hysterics again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now like I said many people ooh and ahh over our beautiful children and are curious about our "story"..................they are not quite sure how to ask us about the girls.......................most ask us "are they twins?" .....................nope...............................sisters?.............................nope................"well they sure look alike, they could be twins or sisters".................................."who belongs to who?"

(Andrea is on one side of the table with Madi next to her and I am on the other side with Olivia next to me.)......................... but we reply politely clarifying whose child belongs to whom. Then we are asked..................."Are you all together?".............................I answer no because we are not related, but I really don't think much about the question so I don't get it. Andrea explains to me that they wanted to know if we were "together" it takes me a minute to get it..................when I finally get it, the hysterics start again..........................................so that's why everyone thought they were twins.................apparently most people's first thought at seeing the four of us together was that we were a couple out to dinner with our twin daughters.

Another person who heard us answer that we were not a couple decided to ask us "Are their Daddies oriental or are they special needs"...........................................we tell her that we adopted them from Guatemala. She is very happy for us. After she leaves I ask Andrea what made that person think our children were special needs.................................Andrea starts laughing and tells me that I heard her wrong.....................she asked if they were special girls (because we adopted them) not special needs...........................Oh boy, I think it's time to go home.

Instead we decide to go to Target to pick up a few things before heading home. I am dried off by now but stained from my tea as is Olivia. Oh well who cares!! We put the girls in the cart together and manage to get in and out of the store unscathed although it was touch and go for poor Madi......Olivia has some serious "personal space" issues......at check out Madi wants Andrea to hold her but she is trying to take her things out of the cart and pay.............so I pick up Madi..............Olivia starts to cry out of jealousy....................so I pick up Olivia too....we leave the store.....................Andrea pushing the cart and me carrying the two children......................we make a nice couple.;-)))))))))))))))))))))!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh what a night!!!!! I had a lot of fun for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love ya Andrea..................I look forward to our next adventure............we better do it while our girls are young..............when they get older they will want to leave us home so as not to embarrass them.

Madi giving Olivia the look. Olivia threw her lemon across the table past Madi's head.

Olivia thought it was very funny.

"Stand with me Madi it's a lot of fun trying to balance while they drive this thing. I promise I won't push you out."

HILARIOUS!!!!

You did a better job explaining the evening!

I am sooooooo glad we found eachother!! Atleast we both have good sense of humor and can laugh our butts off together!

I can't wait to do it again!

Next time we should both wear rain suits that way if anything gets spilled or thrown up on us it will just run off!

Love ya girl!

Olivia Talking

Thank you Shannon for the great idea of filming the DVD while it plays!! This will have to do until I get the proper program. The quality is not very good doing it this way but it's better than nothing.
