There is not too much going on here. I started back to work last Monday and Olivia started daycare. It was a rough week for both of us. Every time I dropped her off she would scream and cling to me but each day got a little easier and by Friday she was doing great. Today she cried when I left her but she had a great day after that. Her teachers are wonderful and they have been giving her extra TLC. When I picked her up today she was sitting with the other children for circle time listening to the teacher read a book. I just stood there watching for a few minutes before I went into the room. I couldn't believe it. Every day last week she was sittingon on one of the teachers lap but today she was sitting on her own and was pointing to the pictures in the book. She was very excited to see me. I am so proud of her for doing so well. The teachers and the owner told me that she has done better than most of the new children do and definitely better than they thought she would. They were prepared for things to be far worse. They had another child that was adopted and they tried for the longest time to get her to adjust but she just never did. She had to take her out permanently. I am very lucky that she has done so well. I have a lot of refrigerator art to show off.
Here are some random photos.
She is obsessed with the dog's water bowl. She stepped in it and so I took her pants and socks off. She followed me to her room to get dry pants but turned around and went right back to the bowl (she is so fast). It was kind of funny, that is until she tipped the bowl over and dumped all the water onto herself and the floor. That's what I get for taking pictures instead of taking the bowl away.
Playing in the mirror at Dillard's department store.
Olivia is learning to feed herself and she is doing a great job.
This is Olivia on her first day of school (before she knew where she was going and that she had to stay there without me).

she is soooooo beautiful Sharon:)
I am sure Olivia will continue to do better at staying at daycare. This morning we had a four year old cry and cling to her mom. She has been with us since she was six weeks old. She is off playing with the other children now and happy.
