Sometimes the Halo just doesn't fit well....

I picked Olivia up at daycare the other day and this is what her hair looked like. They said they were trying to see how high up on her head they could make her pig tails go. Apparently the more subtle pig tails I gave her that morning, she pulled out, so they had fun fixing them.

Olivia is enjoying daycare. She cries a little bit in the morning when I leave her but she quiets quickly. She has gotten much more comfortable with her surroundings and is learning so much.

She is learning how to share........some days she does better than others. Thursday when I picked her up, there was an incident report waiting for me with her name on it. Apparently she did not like one of the other kids trying to push her out of the way to play with the toy that she was playing with, so she took the child's hand and bit her finger. She didn't break the skin, thank God....it just left a temporary mark. Needless to say I felt horrible that she did that to another child. I talked to her all the way home about why that was not good. I just hope this was an isolated incident.

The next day Olivia was in a much better mood and redeemed herself in school. Her report on Friday said that she stacked two buckets one on top of the other and using the bookcase to steady herself she stood on top of them and danced..............ay,yay ay.........what next. Even though they made her get down they said it was the funniest thing they ever saw......the way she was shaking her butt and her shoulders. I have a feeling I am going to be making a lot of trips to school to meet with teachers and/or principals. She is something else. She makes us laugh all the time and when her Halo is sitting a little crooked and she is in trouble she straightens it right up with her heartwarming smile. I can't resist that cute face and apparently neither can her teachers.

Olivia is not going to daycare tomorrow because she had a 104.7 fever this evening. A lukewarm bath and Motrin brought it down to 101 which is much less scary than close to 105. She is going to stay home and rest with Grandma while Mommy goes to work for a little while. Even feeling bad from the fever and the 5 teeth trying to break through, she was still smiling and hugging and kissing us. We love you sweet baby girl!!! We hope you feel better soon!!!

I don't believe that angel's halo could EVER get crooked!!! Maybe she just has a laps in judment occasionaly. I think both of us will have to share parenting tips with our girls they both seem to have a HUGE personality.

I hope Olivia feels better. I will say a prayer for her.

Sorry I didn't call you Fri. night we had a bad night with Madi. She has been sick too but not with a high fever.

Love ya

The ponytails are so cute!! I am glad Olivia is doing so well in daycare. She sounds just like the kiddos in my daycare. There is no way we could report to parents every incident. Kids will be kids.

Thank you Shannon for the great idea of filming the DVD while it plays!! This will have to do until I get the proper program. The quality is not very good doing it this way but it's better than nothing.
