Our Angel

Sorry I haven't posted in while. Our sweet Angel is doing wonderful and keeping Mama very busy. She is teething and a little cranky at times but I don't blame her she has at least 3 teeth coming in at once. She already has 8 and I can see 3 more coming but I think there are more than that. She has started walking as long as there is something that she can walk to, like me or Bill or the wall, etc. She is doing great and loves the positive reinforcement we give her. She is still a little afraid to just let go and walk all around. She is very cautious and if she starts to get off balance she will just sit down. I figure she will be walking completely by the end of the month.
I want to thank all of my friends, family and blogger buddies for all of your prayers and well wishes for my nephew. It means a lot to my family and I.
Here is a quick update on my nephew: His CT scan showed that the cancer has spread from the testicle to the lymph nodes in his abdomen. His surgery on Monday removed the baseball sized tumor went very well. However, he was in a lot of pain which affected his BP and O2 level, so they ended up keeping him overnight to get the pain under control. He has about a 6 inch incision below his waist. The doctor said he has so much pain because he is young and has a lot of muscle mass that they had to stretch and pull in order to get the tumor out. He went home yesterday and is pretty much feeling bad both physically and emotionally. He will start chemo in a couple of weeks. They say the cure rate is 90 to 95%. This is good news! He has a long hard road ahead of him but he is tough and he will get through it. We are all here for him and will help him through this. Again thank you all for your prayers, well wishes and offers of support!!!! I really appreciate it!!!
Now here are some pictures of our sweet Angel. Some of them are from our trip to NY.
Olivia loves my new vacuum. When I vacuum she has to help.

I'm an Angel, can't you see my halo!

Her Spider Man pose. She was entertaining herself during our 3 hour layover on our way to NY. She was such a good girl.

Uncle Dan and Olivia

The key to winning Olivia over is food. In this case Gerber puffs.
She played with Denise as long as she kept the puffs coming.

Olivia playing peek-a-boo with her cousin Matthew. How cute is he!!!

Olivia wouldn't let my cousin Catherine hold her, so we all had to get in the picture.

My cousins in Upstate NY. Thank you to Marcia and Ray (top left and bottom right) for hosting us at the last minute. We didn't have a lot of time in NY to make rounds so my cousins offered to have everyone at their house so we could make one stop to see everyone. I am so glad everyone was available. We enjoyed hanging out with all of you and visiting. It was just like old times when I was growing up and everyone came to our house for holidays and special occasions. We look forward to seeing you all again.

I love this sweet little girl!!

It's snowing!! It was beautiful!!

Uncle Dan and Amanda bought this outfit for Olivia for her birthday. She cracked us up modeling her new outfit. Too cute.

Bill's Dad, Mom, brother Dan and his girlfriend Amanda at her parent's restaurant.
Olivia's Welcome to the family cake we had at her meet Bill's mother hosted in NY.

Olivia eating the icing from the cake. She loves sweets.

Olivia is on the right asleep on my Mother-in-Law's friend. She didn't sleep long because she started to cough and woke herself up.

So she helped me finish opening her gifts.

Bill's brother Dan, sister Dawn, Mom and Dad and Olivia.
Olivia eating a Pitzelle. She loves them as much as you do Aunt Debbie. You better start making some.

Daddy's little girl.

In the Carter's outlet the other day, enjoying dancing and making faces at herself in front of the mirror.

After church this past Sunday, actually it was during church. She was good for the first half hour while she entertained the people behind us then she got bored and cranky because she needed a nap. So we went out to the vestibule and she was practicing her walking back and forth from Daddy to me.

Great pictures, she is so cute! I'm glad your nephew's successfully through his surgery. My brother had a similar sounding cancer about 6 years ago and he is cured and well.

tkae care,
Donna

I really enjoyed our conversation tonight. Our girls are so much alike. And I am going to use the pointers that you gave me. We will see... I will let you know how it works. I talked to Mike after we got off the phone and we are on the GO for next weekend. I can't wait.

See ya then

Andrea

PS. Karen & Abbie will also be there. I called her after I got off the phone with you and they are good to go too! Look out Raleigh 3 Guate Tots are coming!

Thank you Shannon for the great idea of filming the DVD while it plays!! This will have to do until I get the proper program. The quality is not very good doing it this way but it's better than nothing.
