Quick Post

I only have time for a quick post. Things are crazy around here trying to get everything done before we leave on Thursday. I am still working every day this week so my time is limited. My plan is to be done packing and cleaning the house by Tuesday evening so that we can relax on Wednesday. We have a very early flight on Thursday and it will be a long emotional day.

Right now we are stressing about the placement. We know it will be very emotional for all of us. We know that it will be extremely hard on our Foster Mother. She has grown so attached to Olivia having had her for 10 months and also because she has two sons and is enjoying having a girl. Our agency's staff member in Guatemala told us that her Foster Mother truly loves Olivia. It will also be very hard for Olivia as she will mourn the loss of her Foster Mother and her Foster Father and brothers. We are so blessed that Olivia has had the best Foster Mother in the whole world. We can't wait to meet her!!!

I will try and post one more time before we leave for Guatemala.

I am soooo excited for you guys!! It will be a hard first couple of days - but it will pass quickly and your love for olivia will be such a healing tool for her heart. She is going to know how much you love her and find comfort in that. I am praying for you guys and for your baby girl and that everything goes well and that you are home safe and happy in no time at all!!!!!!!!

Love to all THREE of you!!

I felt the same as you did when I went to get my baby who was almost the exact age. The FM was over the top for her. It went better than I had thought, very emotional for sure, but once we were on our own Ava did fine. We keep in touch with her foster family, I want her to know the people who gave her such a wonderful start! What a great Thanksgiving for you guys!

Praying it will be an easy transition!!! Olivia will be able to feel all the love you have for her that has been building these last 10 months, and that will help her adjust. Just give her time!!

Olivia Talking

Thank you Shannon for the great idea of filming the DVD while it plays!! This will have to do until I get the proper program. The quality is not very good doing it this way but it's better than nothing.
