As of Thursday morning the lab did not have our DNA sample yet. My coordinator will check with them on Monday in case they received it later in the day on Thursday. If they don't have it when she calls on Monday that means they didn't take the sample yet. With everything closed until Tuesday in Guatemala it won't be until Tuesday or after before they take the sample.
Once the lab receives the sample it should be about 7 days including weekends to get results. The results are shipped to the US Embassy in Guatemala and we are issued PINK. This pink slip will give us our Embassy appointment day and time. Then we will know when we are traveling. I would like to think that we would be in Guatemala for Thanksgiving but I am sure it won't be until the week after. We just keep praying that things move along and we get PINK ASAP!!

I am still praying you will be in Guatemala for Thanksgiving! What a wonderful Thanksgiving you will have! We need to try to to dinner one night before you leave. Karen has a crazy week next week with Abbie's Birthday but maybe the week after next! How does that sound? Talk to you soon!

YAY!!! You're almost there!! This was the hardest part of the wait for me. It's going to happen---hang in there. I almost lost my mind during that last week of waiting for the DNA sample to be done and sent.
I hope you get to travel by Thanksgiving. Once the DNA gets to the lab, everything happens VERY fast. Go pack...it will help calm your nerves!!!
Oh I am getting sooooooo excited for you guys!! I know the end wait can be hard because you just want it all to be over with sooo bad but you are almost there...SOOOO CLOSE!! Love the video's too...what a beautiful and amazing sweet little girl!
