No News! :-(

(Updated below)

I still haven't heard back from my coordinator about whether or not we are back in PGN. She is supposed to automatically update me every Thursday but I got....nothing! I have e-mailed her and still....nothing! Hopefully by the end of the day she will come through with some sort of information. Otherwise it will be another week before I hear anything. We were also supposed to get an e-mail with info on the cost for the 2nd DNA but we got.....nothing! This part is not a big deal because we have plenty of time before we will need that info, but the point is that they need to do what they say they are going to do.

Can you tell I'm a little irritated and anxious! I know I shouldn't be but I can't help it. I have been missing Olivia so much lately and I desperately want her home. So any information I can get helps me to feel connected to her. I know it could be worse, as I have read many stories about cases that are not going so well and I'm so grateful that mine has for the most part gone very well. I guess if the worst thing that happens is that I get a little impatient and agitated then we are doing just fine. I think the 100 + degree temps this past week aren't helping.

Well, I feel better having vented a little. I will continue to remind myself that our case is exactly where it is supposed to be and that Olivia will be home at precisely the right time not a minute sooner. I just need to relax and continue to have faith.

*Edited to add: I received info on the DNA. Once we come out of PGN or file will be turned in to the embassy to await our pink slip. Our coordinator will receive a request for a child only DNA test directly from the embassy. They will forward this form to the lab that did the original DNA test. The lab will sign the paid receipt and send it back to the adoption agency to forward to the attorney. The attorney will have the foster mom bring the baby to have the samples taken as soon as possible. The samples are sent to the lab where they are expedited. The results will arrive back at the embassy anywhere from 4 – 7 days after the samples were taken. Once the embassy compares the 2nd results to the 1st results, a pink slip appointment will be issued. All this for the low price of $325. We won't know how well this is going to work until the agency has had a few go through. Hopefully it will work!

Still no word on our PGN status, but there are still 2 hours left in the day so I am hopeful!!!!!

You have such a good attitude. You get angry but then recover very well. I hope you do hear from your agency this afternoon.
Hang in there.

Hang in there....it's SO hard to wait. Praying you will hear word soon and that sweet Olivia will be home soon in the Lord's perfect timing.

Sharon,
I know how you feel. You get aggrivated when you want updates but get nothing. But your right Olivia will be home at exactly the right time. Not a minute sooner. The wait just gets hard. I thought that after I finished my dossier the waiting part would be the easiest. BOY was I WRONG! :) The wait is definately the hardest.

Thank you Shannon for the great idea of filming the DVD while it plays!! This will have to do until I get the proper program. The quality is not very good doing it this way but it's better than nothing.
