Happy 4th of July!!

I hope everyone had a great 4th. We had great weather, great food, and great company. Next year at this time there will be a new American citizen celebrating independence day with us. I can't wait!

Lately I have been getting very anxious to bring Olivia home. I can't imagine what I am going to be like when we come out of PGN. I know that the finish line is coming but it's not in site yet and it's all I can think about. Focusing on day to day life is very difficult. I hope PA comes from the Embassy in the next couple of weeks so we can get into PGN well before July ends. Time seems to stand still in the moment. I have to keep reminding myself to look back so that I can see the progress we've made. Time really has passed and we really have made progress, but it's so hard to see when you are constantly looking ahead to what's next, especially when the finish line is where we will meet Olivia and that is what we want more than anything in the world.

To help pass the time, I am keeping up with a lot of other Guatemama's and their blogs. Some are in the same stage of their Guatemalan adoption as we are, some have their babies home and some are ahead or behind us in the process. Some of their posts are emotional and serious but a lot of times they are humorous . I have a lot of fun reading some of their posts and keeping up with their progress.

Right now one of our fellow blogging Guatemama's is having giveaways every Monday for the next 6 weeks. If you would like to be entered in her drawings just e-mail her at SA3@aol.com and she will send you an invite to her private blog where you can enter to win various prizes. There are some super cool prizes from places like Burp Itty Burp, and Little Clippies. It's great of her to do this it will be fun, so send her an e-mail today and join in on the fun.

PS: I am trying to find a Guatemama Group in North Carolina, (especially the Raleigh area). If any of you know of one or are interested in starting one please let me know by posting a comment on my blog. Be sure to include your e-mail address so I can get in touch with you. Thanks for your help!

Olivia Talking

Thank you Shannon for the great idea of filming the DVD while it plays!! This will have to do until I get the proper program. The quality is not very good doing it this way but it's better than nothing.
