We Keep Praying.

Today our agency sent out an e-mail to everyone regarding the earthquake that happened in Guatemala yesterday. They have been in contact with the attorneys and foster families and are happy to report that everyone is safe and sound. Even thought the quake was a 6.8 it was southwest of Guatemala City and although it was felt far and wide there were no reports of injury or damage.

We were also told that even though things have slowed down in Guatemala they have had 3 files submitted in April come out of PGN in the last two weeks on the first try. Also, this month 2 other files submitted in March and April exited PGN after one kick out. Even though there are slow downs this is very encouraging especially because we still have 2 weeks left in June. I think all the prayers that everyone is saying for Barrios and his staff are beginning to work. We are not in PGN yet but hopefully they will keep a steady pace of approving files so that their caseload is not so backed up by the time our file is presented. That way those of you who are currently in PGN will have exited and brought your babies home and our file will exit quickly so that we may bring our baby home sooner rather than later. We'll keep praying.
