Pictures, DNA, Progress

Today we received new pictures of Olivia. She is almost 4 months old at the time these were taken on 5-17-07. She is doing so well. She weighs 14.8 lbs and is 26 inches long. We also received word that the DNA IS A MATCH!!!!! This is great news. Now the US Embassy in Guatemala will be working on prior approval which will take 6 to 12 weeks. We also received word that our dossier is finally out of translation and back in the attorney's hands. Our attorney is preparing it to be presented to family court by Monday or Tuesday of next week. Family Court just added a couple of new document requirements in the last week so once the attorney has complied with those new requirements she will present the file to Family Court. Usually if all goes well the Prior Approval from the US Embassy is complete around the same time we come out of Family Court. Then everything can go to PGN, the final stage. Right now we pray for smooth sailing to a quick Prior Approval and quick exit from Family Court.

Olivia loves her new rattle. "Auntie" Jamie picked the perfect gift. Can't wait to see her in her pretty hair bows from "Auntie" Christy as well as all the clothes from Mommy and Grandma Kirk.

Her blanket was a gift from a friend and fellow Gladney Mom.

She is sitting on the blanket and surrounded by the clothes, bear, hair bows, and rattle we sent her. Looks like I overestimated her size. these are 3 to 6 month clothes and they look like she will drown in them. The last set of pictures we got she looked huge so I estimated big. Maybe in a few months they will fit her.
