Gifts for Olivia

I have been shopping for Olivia since we were accepted into the Guatemala program and I am loving every minute of it. My family and friends have also been shopping for Olivia. We have bought things specifically to send to her and other to keep for when she comes home. Last night I washed all the clothing that I will be sending to her this week. It was very exciting to be washing such tiny clothing.....clothing that now belongs to my daughter. I love that. Most of the time I dread doing laundry and I can't figure out how two people can generate so much so quickly, but for some reason it was pretty exicting to be doing my first batch of laundry for Olivia. I guess it's because this signifies that we are another step closer to our dream come true.
The funny part is I overestimated the amount of Dreft detergent I would need for such small items.......way too many suds! Oh, well I am sure that I will get it right the more I do it and I will certainly have plenty of opportunity to practice.
